Skin, Bones, Hearts & Private Parts is heading to new destinations this year, adding Austin and Nashville to our list of destination locations for our CME Conferences for nurse practitioners (NPs), physician assistants (PAs), registered nurses (RNs), and physicians. We’re also packing in fresh speakers and hot new topics, so if you haven’t already registered, do so soon – our Super Saver rates end May 7!
Attending CME conferences is honestly one of the best—and most enjoyable—ways to earn your required credits. Not only do you get access to the latest medical knowledge and hands-on learning, but you also get to connect with peers, chat with experts, and exchange real-world experiences. It’s a great way to recharge your passion for what you do while picking up practical skills you can use right away. Plus, many conferences are held in fun destinations, so it’s easy to turn it into a mini getaway. You can knock out a bunch of credits in just a few days, stay current with licensing requirements, and grow professionally—all while having a great time. It’s a win-win for your career and your mindset.
What’s on the CME Horizon?
What can you look forward to in Austin, TX (Oct. 7-10). In addition to earning up to 26 CME credits and 5.25 APRN Pharmacology credits, you’ll be in the middle of the Live Music Capital of the World. With an eclectic blend of country, blues, and rock, its streets are alive! Tour the soaring capitol building, go for a hike, enjoy some Tex-Mex, hit up the LBJ Presidential Library, or shop along Congress Ave. Austin is one of the coolest cities in Texas – come check it out with us!
Our second new-to-us city this year is Nashville, TN (Aug. 25-28), another “Music City” where you can visit the Grand Ol’ Opry, go a little honky tonk at any of the city’s many bars and music venues, stroll Vanderbilt University, tour the state capitol, take in a performance at the historic Ryman Auditorium, and bone up on your music knowledge at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. (And, earn up to 26 CME credits and 7.5 APRN Pharmacology credits while you’re there!)
Does our focus on music feel familiar? That’s because Skin, Bones, Hearts & Private Parts founded the Turn It Up Foundation, which provides funding to elementary-age children who are deaf and hard of hearing so that they can pursue their musical interests, such as piano lessons, band instruments, and more. Inspired by President Chuck Dillehay’s son, Caleb, who was born deaf, we donate a percentage of every CME conference registration to the foundation and have, to date, donated more than $100,000!
