A legendary speaker we’re bringing back this year is Jerry Weniger, PhD, ATC, PA-C, an associate professor at James Madison University in the Department of Health Professions and in his 11th year as the director of the Physician Assistant program. Jerry teaches all orthopedic/musculoskeletal portions of the curriculum, as well as emergency medicine topics, imaging topics, and the hands-on skills workshop. He serves as a case reviewer and expert witness for medico-legal cases and regularly presents at national conferences.
“Orthopedic physical examination is frequently quite challenging for clinicians in primary care,” he said, “so my talks often focus on training clinicians for those exams. I also enjoy sharing news and trends I’ve observed in terms of patient care; in the orthopedic and sports medicine world, for example, there was a lot of buzz surrounding Aaron Rogers, quarterback for the NY Jets. He tore his Achilles tendon in the first game of the season, but he defied the odds for a return-to-play timetable after having a newer procedure called a ‘speed-bridge.’ It’s a proprietary product from Arthrex and was an interesting case to watch and share.”
Listen and learn from Jerry Weniger by registering for a CME Conference in Virginia Beach (August 6-9) and Pensacola (September 10-13) in 2024! Topics he’ll cover include:
- Foot and ankle pathologies you may be missing
- Atypical hand, wrist and finger injuries
- Simplifying evaluation of common shoulder problems
- Making physical exams of the knee more clear.
We look forward to seeing you at one of our upcoming CME Conferences!
