We welcome countless NPs, PAs, Physicians and RNs to our CME Conferences every year – both as speakers and as attendees. One of our leading speakers specializing in dermatology is Kara Roman, MMS, PA-C, who helped launch George Fox University PA Program in 2022 and currently serves as its Associate Director and Director of Didactic Education. Kara has a special interest in women’s health, dermatology, and adolescent medicine, and she was honored to receive the Golden Apple Award for outstanding teaching in 2001 from the PA students at Midwestern.
“I love sharing my passion and getting providers excited about dermatology,” Roman said. “I am committed to making sure that providers are capable in the areas of physical exam and documentation of skin conditions and in empowering PAs, NPs and other healthcare providers to manage many conditions in the primary care setting before thinking about referrals.”
“In 2024, I’m eager to share new topical medications for inflammatory conditions like atopic dermatitis, as well as new plans for management of acne in primary care,” she added. “I’m also inspired regularly by an increased awareness of dermatologic pathologies in skin of color and increased focus on education of providers on these presentations – all things I look forward to covering with practitioners this year!”
Listen and learn from Kara Roman by registering for a CME Conference in Orlando (June 3-6); Myrtle Beach, SC (June 24-27); and Orlando (October 21-24) in 2024! Topics she’ll cover include:
