At Skin, Bones, Hearts & Private Parts, we’re looking forward to another year of learning, networking, and enjoying destination locations with nine conferences in seven great cities! To kick it all off, we’ll meet in Pensacola from May 21-24, where attendees can earn up to 26 CME credits and 5.75 APRN Pharmacology credits while also having the opportunity to unwind on Pensacola’s famed sugar-white sandy beaches.
Our conferences dedicate each of the four days to a single topic, allowing our attendees to take very deep, intense dives to build on their knowledge base; at Pensacola, that will mean full days centering on dermatology, orthopedics, cardiology & emergency medicine, and women’s health.
CME Taught by Thought Leaders in Their Field
Gina Mangin, MPAS, PA-C, a physician assistant (PA) specializing in dermatology, will be our Day 1 (May 21) speaker, and she comes to our CME Conferences with the desire to keep colleagues on top of their game through knowledge. “The field of medicine is always advancing, and patients want and deserve the best care and best outcomes,” she said.
She’ll cover melanoma, identifying skin spots, neurotoxin treatments, skin cancer, rashes, and tinea infections. And, with new advances in Jak inhibitors for Atopic dermatitis and alopecia areata, and the use of systemic medications to treat chronic diseases such as psoriasis and Atopic dermatitis, Gina’s CME courses will give everyone practical pearls of information to immediately help patients. “I love the field of dermatology,” she added, “and our base training lacks in-depth dermatology training. Dermatology is about so much more than Botox and fillers, and not every rash is ringworm!”
Zack Lerner, DNP, ARN, a nurse practitioner (NP) specializing in total joints, sports medicine, and non-operative spine who co-operates the orthopedic walk-in clinic at the University of Kansas health systems, will headline our orthopedics CME sessions on Day 2 (May 22). Zack will cover pain management, back pain, and injuries of the foot and ankle, and will present a wide range of case studies to help providers evaluate and break down a case to obtain better outcomes.
“Skin, Bones’ CME Conferences are a great way to reach a diverse healthcare audience who are driven to improve their practice through learning things they may not necessarily already know,” he said. “Education can only be timeless if we continue to learn new information so that we can evolve in a world where things are constantly changing; there are so many new trends involving medication use for pain and different interventional nonsurgical pain procedures … and in orthopedics, there’s a major push to get people more mobile now, as opposed to immobilizing and resting.”
